This is the thing: When you hit 28 or 30, everything begins to divide. You can see very clearly two kinds of people. On one side, people who have used their 20s to learn and grow, to find … themselves and their dreams, people who know what works and what doesn’t, who have pushed through to become real live adults. Then there’s the other kind, who are hanging onto college, or high school even, with...

between two lungs.
Finally into the new house but I wont have the internet back until the end of February. I’ve been busy with lots of little crafty projects and am hopefully going to the Hobby Craft and Stitch trade show in Birmingham at the weekend. I found my camera charger this morning so I’ll update with some photos soon.
The key is to keep company only with people who uplift you, whose presence calls...

Currently working on decorating / altering a little wooden birdhouse. Its coming along quite nicely, i started sticking little paper teardrop tiles to the roof this afternoon. I’ll upload some photos later this week if i can find my camera charger. Aside from that, I’m moving house tomorrow, looking forward to living walking distance from the beach again!

This week I’ve learned that I have a terrible attitude towards change (that I haven’t chosen to happen). I’m still seriously struggling to come up with a name for my online shop / blog. I’m probably being far too particular, but everything good I think of is already taken! In the meantime I’ve been making lots of lovely things. Going to have a go at making some...
shake it out.
Wishing my bank balance was allowing of a trip. I don’t want to go anywhere for too long, I’d just like some time away.

doesn't matter much.
Spent all day packing things in my room ready for moving next weekend. Luckily my obsession with organising things (alphabetical, colour, size etc) has meant it’s been pretty easy and I’m almost done. Even though I’m supposed to be getting on with making things for my online shop, I think i might start a new project next week (or after I’ve moved) and decorate my bedside...

Erase the messages, delete the number and move on. You don’t have to forget...
– This is something I’m definitely going to put into practice this year. I think that for some reason people my age feel this need to hang on to things in the past. Everyone seems to do it, and it doesn’t seem very healthy.
pretty green.
Going to start packing up some stuff in my room today ready for moving in a couple of weeks. Still not used to having Sunday and Monday off work, it completely throws my week off, I always feel a day behind. I’ve been pretty busy with work and this moving stuff this month, so I haven’t got around to doing any of my ‘new year plans’ yet. Maybe I’ll re-work my list a...

darling buds of may.
Started making some samples with the new spring stock at work this week. So many lovely papers and stamps. I haven’t done any card making in ages, so it’s been nice to get some ink on my hands again. I’ve also been planning some gifty type items to make, so I’m going to do some trials next week and see what i can come up with. I’ve spent way too much of this week...

Made a trip to Surrey today, and stopped off in Guildford to shop for my mum’s birthday present. I thought I easily had a week to find a suitable gift, but it turns out her birthday is actually on Tuesday so panic buying was put into place. Thankfully Waterstone’s had everything I needed, including a Rob Ryan mug that reads “believe in people”, complete with illustration....
some might say.
Today has consisted of listening to Oasis and making paper bunting. I’ll try a post some photos tomorrow, but I’ve mostly been making wall and ceiling decorations for work (i work in a craft shop, unsuprisingly) over the past two weeks. The teabox i started before christmas is ready to be covered, but it’s been put on hold because I’m a bit lazy.
Honestly, my life being as it is right now has made me realise that the world is...

In a half-hearted attempt to think up a name for a small business / blog, i’ve resorted to playing scrabble with my dad. I’m having a total mental block today, i don’t even know what day it is!
